Armed with their new religion of Islam, Arabs attacked the “Constantinopolitan” empire and quickly conquered the Middle East and North Africa. The Moslem Empire enjoyed great wealth and intellectual advances. It’s no wonder that many Moslems would like to return to the medieval ages.

In an empty and desolate place- the Arabian desert - Mohammed began to preach the revelation he believed he had been given. Mohammed was influenced by the Jews, but the Jews rejected his message, so he turned against them. By the end of his life, his fledgling Moslem state had gained control of the Arabian desert.
